Smoke Eaters Add Alumnus Calvin To Coaching Staff; Promote Korlak to Associate Coach
Trail, British Columbia (September 16th, 2021) – The Trail Smoke Eaters are excited to announce that alumni Dallas Calvin will be joining the teams coaching staff as an assistant, meanwhile Dustin Korlak has been promoted to associate coach as well as the director of player development.
Calvin, a Trail native and former Smoke Eater, player will join Tim Fragle’s staff as the forwards coach for the Smoke Eaters. Calvin’s playing career consisted of a KIJHL championship with the Beaver Valley Nitehawks, a BCHIL Championship with the Selkirk Saints as well as multiple player awards over his BCIHL career.
“I am extremely excited to be joining the Trail Smoke Eaters this year. As a former player, it has been awesome to see the growth over the past several years. Having the opportunity to coach with an elite staff in Tim, Dustin and Ty, and join a first class organization led by Rich and Annie was a very easy decision. I’m looking forward to a great season ahead.” – Dallas Calvin
“We are excited to have alumnus Dallas Calvin officially join the Smoke Eaters organization. We feel confident he will complement our current staff and have a big impact with our players.” – HC & GM Tim Fragle
While the Smoke Eaters welcome Dallas on board, we’d also like to congratulate Dustin Korlak, who is entering his fourth year as a member of the organization and has been named as the team’s associate coach along with being named director of player development.
